Cover work for Thursday the 23rd of September.

P1- 10are1- J18:
Students should work on paper:
Go to https://cheneyre.edublogs.org/2015/09/22/year-10-religion-and-authority-capital-punishment/ and run through the PowerPoint; Copy down keywords. Watch videos and take notes. and complete a table for the pros and cons of capital punishment.
P3- 10bbre3- L33:
Students should have their own books.
Students should do the following:
1- Write a speech ready to present for next lesson- the speech should be about what they think about Capital Punishment- listing positives and negatives and using evidence in their responses.
2- They should annotate their 8 mark questions. Clearly stating where the P.E.E is.
3- Students should make a 1 page revision note on everything we have covered so far this year.
P5- 9are4- L37:
Students have their own books.
1- Create a revision poster based on everything we have learnt so far. It should only be on 1 side of A4.
2- Answer the question: ‘Men and Women can’t be equal.’ 6 Marks- Need two Point Evidence and Explanation paragraphs. Students should use their evidence from previous lessons.

Year 10- Religion and Authority- Capital Punishment
In this lesson we will be thinking about the rationale and reasoning behind capital punishment!
We will be thinking about what Islam and Christianity think of the death penalty!

Think back to last year? How do you answer 8 Mark questions? What Assessment Objectives are they? Ao1 or Ao2? What structure should you use? What is your evidence source?
Year 9- Lesson 4&5- Is It Fair- Racism & Sexism
The next two lessons we will be focusing on the issue of Racism and Sexism.
In your schooling you will have heard of these words a lot! However, we will be studying them in the context of what the religions Islam and Christianity discuss about them.

Year 10- Religion and Authority- Leaders who worked for peace
This weeks lessons will focus on people throughout history who worked for peace.
- We will be watching a series of video clips to look at the lives of these individuals.
We will then be creating mind maps about each of them.
We will finish the lesson with a practice exam question!

In this lesson we will be looking at the concepts…

We will consider what these words mean and whether we are guilty of them? We will then cover what Christianity and Islam state about Equality in the context of these words!
