Year 10- Cover Work

Hi All,

REALLY sorry! I am absent. (Again.) I won’t miss anymore lessons. Apologies. Sincerely!

Here are your tasks for THIS LESSON

  • Research and write notes in your books about Corrymeela and 1 other Interfaith agencies- Click here for more information. You need to know who, what, where, why and when about them.
  • Number every page- top right corner of your page in your book.
  • Create a contents page: Adding information from your books as titles in the content page.

Create a quotes table per unit of work. Remember you need evidence for each unit of work.

Have you remembered all the specialist language needed for each of the units?

  • Religion and Authority
  • Religion and Conflict
  • Religion and Medicine
  • Religious Expression

You need to write a sub topic and write a quote/evidence/teaching from Christianity and Islam alongside that sub topic. Then write what that quote shows/proves/demonstrates.

Year 9&10 Cover Work- EID! ;)

Cover work for Thursday the 23rd of September.

I am off for Eid.

P1- 10are1- J18: 
Students should work on paper:

Go to https://cheneyre.edublogs.org/2015/09/22/year-10-religion-and-authority-capital-punishment/ and run through the PowerPoint; Copy down keywords. Watch videos and take notes. and complete a table for the pros and cons of capital punishment.

 

P3- 10bbre3- L33:
Students should have their own books.
Students should do the following:

1- Write a speech ready to present for next lesson- the speech should be about what they think about Capital Punishment- listing positives and negatives and using evidence in their responses.
2- They should annotate their 8 mark questions. Clearly stating where the P.E.E is.
3- Students should make a 1 page revision note on everything we have covered so far this year.

P5- 9are4- L37:
Students have their own books.

1- Create a revision poster based on everything we have learnt so far. It should only be on 1 side of A4.
2- Answer the question: ‘Men and Women can’t be equal.’ 6 Marks- Need two Point Evidence and Explanation paragraphs. Students should use their evidence from previous lessons.

Year 9 A/B RE Cover Work.

P3/P4- Year 9A/B RE4- L14-

 

Students are also aware that I am not in, they have a fixed seating plan.

Students should work on lined paper provided.

This work will be checked in their lesson tmrw and if it is NOT completed please remind them that I will be setting detentions for the very same day.

 

Students are to use the textbook and collect

8 quotes per topic. 4 for islam and 4 for Christianity.

Topics:

  • Is It Fair
  • Our World
  • Relationships
  • Looking For Meaning

 

They should then write what these quotes are suggesting and what area of the topic they support.

They should use the contents page to find the topics and work in silence.
