Year 9- Unit 4- Looking For Meaning

This week we will begin Unit 4- Looking for Meaning. This is the final unit for the first RE paper.

We have covered Is It Fair, Our World and Relationships. You have all had many recall tests and past paper mock examinations on these units. We have gone through how to answer examination questions and annotated model answers.

You should all have quotes tables for each of the units and a revision worksheet.

Here is the Big Picture of this unit.

You will need to look up the definitions of all the specialist language.

Also, don’t forget your homework. I need two quotes for each Unit broken down into subtopics, one for quote for Islam and one for Christianity. They need to be printed and bought along to lesson.

Here are the joint mind maps you created. Feel free to download, however, I have printed a copy for everybody and will give them to you next lesson!

I am looking into Revision Guides and when to put on revision sessions for you. At the moment the majority wanted to do Thursdays from 2.30-3.30pm- in J38. However, I have to check if this room isn’t being used by a tutor group.

Year 10- Online Revision- Google Forms.

Your task this lesson will be to design your very own Google Form- Quiz!

  1. You will be assigned a topic each
  2. You will have to go to drive.google.com/drive/
  3. (You will need a Google Email account.)
  4. If you do not have one, either make one quickly or come and see me!
  5. In your Google Form you will need to ask Ao1 and Ao2 questions.
  6. You need to vary your questions to include multiple choice, text and paragraph text answers.
  7. Your google form must ask for the name of the person completing it and their email address so you can email them direct feedback!
  8. You need to number your questions like you would see in the examination  paper- a,b,c,d,e
  9. Once you have completed your form you need to embed it into the PADLET below!
  10. You will then complete each others quizzes. Once complete, you will email feedback to the person that has completed your quiz, correcting and commending where relevant!

Here is a link to help explain how to create a google form!
